Choosing the Perfect Domain Name for Your Blog or Business ...

Choosing a blog name is one thing that any blogger shouldn?t rush into because a blog name is the first foundation for building a successful blog. In this article I will be sharing with you the important steps to follow when choosing a blog name or domain name for your business either online or offline.

how to choose a good domain name

When it comes to choosing a domain name for your new blog or offline/online business, most people get confused as what they plan to use is already taken by someone else. It?s for this reason people go with wrong domain names but before you choose, you should consider these few points.

It should be short

A short blog name or domain name is easy to remember than a long domain name, only choose a name that will be easily remembered by your blog visitors in case they want to revisit your blog again. Remember that not all blog readers will remember your blog url or name if it is too long so always go for a short and easy to remember blog or domain name.

The name should be self descripsive

Your blog name should be able to describe what your blog is about to your blog readers an example of a descriptive domain name is dailyblogtips.com. This is a self descriptive domain name which tells every first time visitor what the blog is about. A descriptive domain name describes what your blog is about to a first time visitor just at the first sight of the domain name, people can figure out what your blog is about if it is self descriptive and they will be patient to read your blog if they are interested in what blog url stated to them.

Register a .com domain name

A .com domain is the most visited extension of a blog and almost all popular blogs focus on a .com domain name. When browsing on the internet, most internet surfers usually type every domain name with a .com extension at the end because they are too familiar with it. It is the most popular and most used extension so it?s much more preferable.

Easy spellings

You should consider using an easy to spell word for your domain name, you can use a word from English or let?s something from the dictionary. This will help people know the spelling of your domain name because some blog names are very hard to spell e.g pagamaragrasive.com which is very difficult to spell and remember. For this reason, you must consider choosing a name that?s easy to spell.

No hypens

To me, hypens are considered as a pretty bad practice for a domain name. It makes a blog lose most of its daily, monthly, and even yearly blog visitors for nothing. A domain with hypens looks like this blogging-foundation.com and most times, users forget to add this hyphen.

This tips will guide you in choosing a perfect blog name or domain name for your business, a perfect name is a perfect business foundation, and remember a perfect name is the first foundation for any blog or website. Make sure you carefully choose a perfect domain name either for your online or offline business.
My question for you: What name have you decided or chosen for your blog and how perfect is the name? Share your thoughts with us.

North Korea Moves Missile, Could Be Preparing a Test

U.S. officials suspect that North Korea may be preparing for a test of its Musudan medium-range missile after seeing evidence of it being transported to North Korea's eastern coast. Such a launch would be the latest in a series of provocations by North Korea in recent weeks.

Earlier Thursday, South Korea's defense minister told his nation's lawmakers that a North Korean missile with "considerable range" had been transported to that country's eastern coast. Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin said he could not explain the movement and added that the missile was not capable of reaching the United States.

U.S. officials have identified the missile as a mobile-launched Musudan missile estimated to have a range of between 1,800 and 2,500 miles that could put U.S. military bases in Okinawa and Guam within its range.

The officials said that, two days ago surveillance satellites detected the movement by train of a Musudan mobile launcher as well as fuel and equipment needed for a missile launch.

One official said it is possible that as many as two missiles could be readied for a potential launch because there were more missile components spotted than might be needed if only one missile was being launched.

The U.S. is trying to locate the location on the eastern coast where the launcher and missile components are currently located.

The officials said there is speculation that a missile test could be in the works and that it could occur soon. Unlike long-range missiles, which can spend weeks on a launch pad in preparation for a launch, mobile-launched missiles can be launched fairly quickly and with little warning.

The Musudan is a medium-range missile that has never been tested before, though it has been publicly paraded by North Korea in the past. U.S. officials have been expecting it to be tested at some point over the past few years.

A U.S. official said that, so far, North Korea has not provided a notice to mariners about a potential missile launch. During previous long-range launches, the North Koreans have listed advance warnings to mariners and aviators. In addition to serving as safety warnings that a missile may land near a body of water, they have also served as indicators of a possible launch. The official said launching this missile without such an advance advisory would be seen as a provocation.

One of the officials said there is also concern about how Japan might react if a North Korean missile were to overfly its territory. Placing the Musudan on the eastern coast indicated the trajectory might take it over Japan. Last December, in advance of North Korea's long-range missile test that month, the Japanese government gave orders to its military shoot down a missile should it appear to be headed for Japanese territory.

That did not happen, as the Unha 3 missile was launched on a southward trajectory away from the Korean Peninsula. Japan has both land-based and ship-based missile interceptors like the ones aboard U.S. Navy ships.

In light of North Korea's recent threats to launch missiles at the United States, the Pentagon has assigned two of its missile-defense-capable Navy destroyers to provide missile defense if needed.

On Tuesday, the Pentagon confirmed the destroyers USS John S McCain and USS Decatur had been sent to pre-determined locations in the western Pacific.

The USS Decatur will soon be replaced by the destroyer USS Fitzgerald so that it can return to its homeport of San Diego after a seven-month deployment.

Japan and South Korea both have short-range air missile defense systems, the U.S. Navy ships can provide backup if the trajectory is beyond that range and pose a threat to other partners in the region and U.S. territory.

In the wake of North Korea's missile threat on Wednesday, the Pentagon announced that it was sending a land-based missile defense system to Guam.

North Korea also has a mobile-launched, long-range missile known as the KN-08. North Korea has never tested the missile, but it is of particular concern because it can be launched with little warning and is believed to be able to reach parts of the United States.

One official said there has been no worrisome activity related to the KN-08.

PFT: Hanson retires after 21 seasons with Lions

24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards Presented By Ketel One And Wells Fargo - Dinner and ShowGetty Images

The Baltimore Ravens have had to part ways with many veteran players this offseason.

Linebacker Ray Lewis and center Matt Birk retired. Safety Ed Reed, linebacker Paul Kruger and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe signed with new teams. Safety Bernard Pollard was released as well.

The Ravens also made a decision to release linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo on Wednesday. The moves have been necessitated by the new contract given to quarterback Joe Flacco and trying to get their financial commitments under the salary cap.

However, Ayanbadejo thinks the reason for his release may not be that simple. Ayanbadejo and Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe have been incredibly outspoken supporters of gay rights. According to Tom Rock of Newsday, Ayanbadejo believes his activism for gay rights also was a factor in the team?s decision to release him.

?I was a vocal guy and garnered a lot of attention,? Ayanbadejo said. ?I brought a lot of issues with me to the Super Bowl and the issues came up at the Super Bowl. ?My bark is louder than my bite. I make a lot of noise and garner a lot of attention for various things off the football field. When that starts happening, why do you have that player around??

Ayanbadejo admitted that his play has fallen off in recent seasons and that the Ravens could find a player at a lesser salary to fill his role. But that doesn?t stop him from believing there was more to the decision than that.

?I don?t necessarily think that teams want this type of attention,? he said.

The Ravens have since denied the move was anything more than a football-related decision.

?We?re surprised that he would indicate this. We have always been respectful of Brendon?s opinions and his right to express those,? Ravens? senior vice president for public and community relations Kevin Byrne said, via Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. ?Our decision regarding his departure from the team has everything to do with football. Nothing else.?

The prominence of gay rights issues in the NFL is only increasing. The San Francisco 49ers had to deal with Chris Culliver?s homophobic comments leading up the Super Bow. The Seattle Seahawks had to respond to Chris Clemons? comments this week questioning whether a gay player coming out of the closet would be a selfish act. It?s a reality teams have to be prepared to handle when a situation arises.

Whether Ayanbadejo?s claims have any legitimacy is nearly impossible to determine. However, there was an obvious financial benefit the Ravens gained by his release. Ayanbadejo was scheduled to make $940,000 in base salary for next season with the Ravens. By releasing him, the Ravens will save over $800,000 in cap space for next season.

A Special Needs Teacher - A Modern Hero

Consider them modern heroes -- teachers. Tasked with moulding the minds of the next generations, essentially, teachers build the foundations for the future. As the skills demanded by the workplace continue to evolve, teachers lay the groundwork to help a new generation adapt to these changes, allowing students to develop the skills necessary for them to thrive and succeed.

However, there are pupils who cannot cope with the demands of a regular classroom setup. Some students may have behavioural issues while others may be facing serious emotional issues that hinder them from performing adequately in the classroom. Still, there are kids who have physical impairments which make going to a traditional classroom not a viable option. As such, a special needs teacher is called in to help them overcome issues that hinder them from learning and finding success in the classroom.

Typically, special educational needs or SEN jobs involve teaching special needs children who are taught according to the National Requirements. Working in conjunction with professionals like social workers and speech and language therapists, these teachers help their pupils develop the necessary confidence to enable them to thrive in a traditional classroom setup. In some cases, learning under the tutelage of a SEN teacher may be a short-term endeavour. On the other hand, there are those who require a longer period under the watch of a SEN teacher. Also, there are students with permanent disabilities who must learn skills that will enable them to adapt better in the classroom and in life in general. Some of these teachers work in traditional schools while there are those who work in a variety of locations including specials schools, youth custody centres and pupil referral units.

If you are seriously considering taking on SEN teaching jobs that you have come across online or in offline classified ads, it is important to note that you need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Also, there are some instances wherein the prospective candidate must have some specific training like working with youth with visual or hearing impairments. Nonetheless, even more important is the personality of the candidate.

It can be quite difficult working inside a traditional classroom setup -- even more so when you are working with children with special needs. As such, it is quite important for a prospective SEN teacher to have a calm demeanour and be unflappable in the face of stressful situations. Compared to educators in a normal classroom, these teachers work with a smaller class size. However, this is necessary as the pupils you would encounter in such a setup demand more attention. It would also be helpful if you are creative in teaching your students as conventional methods might not effectively gain their attention or interest.

Skilled special needs teacher from axcis.com.uk can help you and your children have a better future. These teachers can provide them with sufficient knowledge and skills to make good decisions in their life.

Blackberry shutting down BBM Music on June 2nd, points users to Rdio

BBM Music may only be roughly a year and a half old, but Blackberry announced in an email to subscribers that it'll be put out to pasture on June 2nd, and April is the last month they'll be charged for it. For those who aren't familiar with BBM Music, it lets users keep up to 50 songs hand-picked from a larger selection in a playlist, and listen to tunes that friends keep in their own collections. Come May, tracks will appear greyed out and become unplayable as BBM contacts stop using the app. Of course, there are other ways to get your music fix. The company formerly known as RIM went so far as to recommend Rdio, giving folks a voucher code for a 30-day pass in the email.

Creative Spotlight: Michael Pangilinan Photography | danielle ...

Oddly enough, I met this crazy character at a mixer back in January as I somehow continued to elbow him on accident. I?m happy to say that he?s quickly become a great friend and someone that I?m happy to welcome to the DPNAK list of recommended vendors. So saddle on up (you?ll get this reference better after you read his first answer) and meet Michael? and his cutie-pie son, Cohen.

Me-001?Hello. Who are you??

Hi! My name is Michael Pangilinan (pronounced P-Angelina-N) and I am the owner and photographer of Michael Pangilinan Photography. That?s a mouthful, huh? I am a wedding photojournalist and lifestyle portrait photographer originally from Texas. I have recently relocated back to PA to be closer to family and I continue to pursue my career up here. If you ask nicely, I can speak like a true ?Texan.?

Ashley&Dave-002

Who or what got you started in the industry?

Fuji?well their disposable cameras, really. I always had one on me to help ?document? my journey through high school and college. Later on down the line, I picked up my first ?real? SLR film camera at a second hand store on a whim and carried it wherever I went. Now fast forward to the present, I have just rounded my third year of being in the professional photography business and I am loving every minute of it.

What is your favorite part about being in the wedding world??

I would have to say it?s being able to share in the excitement of each and every one of my brides and grooms. As a photographer, I love collaborating with my clients and getting to know them on a more personal level. Not only does this allow me to find out exactly what they want on their wedding day, but it also helps us create a strong personal relationship with each other. I am a firm believer that building great relationships directly results in stellar results, as well as reduce any stress that may fall on them on their special day.

Ashley-003

Besides weddings, are there any other special events that you service?

That?s the beauty of my job. While my current focus is in the wedding industry, I also provide portrait sessions to those who are interested. This may include, but is not limited to the following portrait sessions: family, child, senior, boudoir, engagements, etc. I welcome change and encourage others to embrace it, too.

Marie&Tim-004

Ok, we all know I?m a big fan of yellow. What?s your favorite color?

Everything, BUT yellow! Just kidding! While this question has been asked of me several times, I don?t really have an answer. I love earthy tones, but also love nice bright and bold colors. I guess I just like everything! My birthday is on St. Patrick?s Day so by default I have to love green.

As a photographer, where do you go to be inspired??

There are a couple of ways I get inspired. I like to stay current with what?s ?hot? so I always look to different magazines. They can range from various wedding magazines, fashion specific ones, or even National Geographic. Much of what I do is based on how to use light to your advantage, so that means taking note of my surroundings and seeing how others utilize light. Another way I like to get the proverbial ?creative juices? flowing is to exercise or ride my bike through the woods or mountains. There?s no substitute for nature and no better way for me to clear my head!

JS(Wedding2nd)-001

What sets you apart from other fellow photographers??

I strive to make my work unique to each of my clients by really listening to what they have to say and collaborating accordingly. I also try to steer clear from traditional poses or styles. A big part of being ?different? is figuring out what expectations my clients have. I do this by focusing on building my personal relationship with them from beginning. I don?t just ?show-up? on the day of the wedding and shoot; I make sure I do my homework first. It also doesn?t hurt to have a degree in Counseling and Human services to give me an edge either.

Ashley&Dave-007

Whether you?re single, married, divorced, widowed? we all have words of advice when it comes to relationships. What is your advice to couples tying the knot?

To always love, appreciate and support one another; there?s no amount of money or worldly ?things? that can replace what each bride or groom can give to their future spouse. I believe that love, appreciation and support are the corner stones of marriage. They help strengthen and build wonderful relationships and families.

Aside from weddings, what are some other hobbies/hidden talents/secret powers?

I work with wood and leather and love to create things with my hands. I can also sew, crochet and knit. I love origami! Where most people make cranes, I can only really make penguins and hearts. I?m also double jointed in both of my thumbs. Secret powers? Um, none that I know of?.YET!

Ashley&Dave-008

Speaking of super powers, if you could choose to have any, what would you pick?

I?d have to say the ability to fly.? I enjoy weaving in and out of trees on my bike and I?m sure I?d love soaring through the clouds.? Plus air travel is very expensive these days, so having the ability to fly helps cut down on costs, though extra carry-ons may pose a bit of a confound. I might have to start charging $25 per bag to make it worth my while.

Ashley&Dave-005

Finally, how do we connect with you?

You can contact via phone, email, text, Facebook, singing telegram, Morse code or smoke signals. Okay, just kidding about the smoke signals. I don?t want people starting fires in their backyards.
